The tallest man and the lowest woman in the world

Sultan Kosen is a Guinness record in 2011. Its height is due to a tumor caused by acromegaly, a disorder usually caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland that makes its growth hormone production greater. Although the most curious thing about Kosen is that he will not grow anymore, because thanks to a hormonal treatment he managed to stop his growth.

It was necessary, because apparently this could have represented not only a major problem but even death, because his skeleton could no longer sustain it if it continued to grow.

For his part, Jyoti Amge was born in 1993 and his 62.8 centimeters also allowed him to achieve the record in short stature in 2011. Amge works as an actress and has taken performance from his height because he develops his career in the Bollywood industry and with projects to continue his profession in Hollywood.

There is a huge difference between the two. The 34-year-old Sultan Kosen is the tallest man in the world and is 2.51 meters tall while on the other side of the coin is Jyoti Amge of Nagpur in India, which measures 62.8 centimeters. Both have the Guinness record for the tallest man and the lowest woman in the world.

In a unique situation, during the beginning of 2018, they posed together in Egypt, specifically in the Pyramid of Giza, from where the difference between the centimeters that separate from each other was seen. During the photo session they could meet and pose in order to promote tourism in the country in a more than original way.

It is true that the situation was somewhat funny, since Amge almost reaches Kasen’s knee, being really peculiar. But besides them there have been many more people who have broken records for their heights. What is clear is that both have something in common, to be exceptional and have difficulties to dress and find both shoes and clothes, and also when moving in society. One is left over and the other is missing. But surely they are happy.
